About Us

VinoAuctions is the result of a combined 45 years in the wine business.  Partners Jason Mabile and Stu Bossom each possess a unique background and experience that resulted in the creation.

Why VinoAuctions?

We represent a unique value to both Buyers and Sellers with our scaled buyer’s premiums as well as our flat 3% Seller’s premium.  In addition to no listing or re-listing fees we offer $5 bid increments across all lots.

While the combined average of online auction houses is usually over 25%, we offer the lowest combined fees in the industry.

Stu's Bio

Stu left his career in Internet advertising in 2000 to begin his journey in the wine business.

After many successful years with both large and small importing companies, Stu started his own importation company with a focus on South America, France and Spain. Along the way Stu developed specialized e-commerce solutions for both foreign and domestic wineries as well as an on-demand inventory model for foreign wineries to break into the US market without going through the traditional three-tier system.  Together with his business partner Jason, they both saw an opportunity to use common sense and a streamlined approach to shake up the world of online wine auctions.

Stu has been enjoying and collecting wine for over 30 years.

Jason's Bio

Jason has worked across all three tiers of the wine business—3-star Michelin restaurants, small wine companies, the nation’s largest distributor, and as a private client broker.

The early years of his career proved to be the most formative as he met collectors and winemakers from all over the world. They shared bottles of wine, stories, and rare additions from one another’s cellars. Jason launched The Grape Brokers in the in the mid-2000s to serve clients’ rare and allocated wine needs, and he later evolved it to serve the restaurants in New York, D.C., and San Francisco, many that are recognized for their world class wine lists.
